How I Discovered I Wasn't Charging Enough

Let me tell you the story of how I discovered I wasn't charging enough for my services.

Once upon a time, a new potential client asked me what I would charge to build him a website and help him with branding. I was pretty busy at the time and I didn't particularly want to do the project.

He was in a rush and taking on the project would have meant me working some extra hours to fit it in with my other projects.

So I asked myself, "What would he have to pay me to make it worth my time? How much would I have to make to get excited about this project?"

So I told him my fee was DOUBLE what I normally charge.

His response?

"Do you take credit cards?" He didn't even bat an eye at my new higher pricing.

After that, I raised my prices across the board. And you know what?

There are still plenty of people who are happy to pay me for my work. In fact, I'm busier than ever.

Are there people who can't afford me? Sure. But those aren't my people.

I don't charge people for the hours I spend on a job, I charge for the value I bring to a project. I can show you how to do the same thing.

Message me if you have questions.
